Mr. Pavan D. Panwala Lecture in Department of Textile Processing Technology, Dr. S.& S.S. Ghandhy College of Engineering & Technology, Surat, delivered an encouraging speech and to motivate the Participants.

Mr. Dhaval D. Vyas Lecture in Department of Textile Processing Technology, Dr. S.& S.S. Ghandhy College of Engineering & Technology, Surat also addressed the gathering on this occasion he was focused on Water conservation is the practice of using water efficiently to reduce unnecessary water usage. According to Fresh Water Watch, water conservation is important because fresh clean water is a limited resource, as well as a costly one.

Er. Dipesh C. Rajput, Lecturer in Civil Engineering Department Dr. S. & S. S. Ghandhy College of Engineering and Technology, Surat, Groundwater is the one of the most natural resource that supports human health and ecological diversity (Waikar & Nilawar, 2014). Protecting it from contamination and carefully managing its use will ensure its future as an important part of ecosystems and human activity. The rate of groundwater flow is controlled by two properties of the rock: porosity and permeability. The main sources of groundwater recharge are precipitation and flow and of discharge include effluent seepage into the streams and lakes, springs, evaporation and pumping. Remote sensing and GIS plays a vital role in developing of water and land resources management. The advantage of using remote sensing is to develop information on spatial technology which is useful for analysis and evaluation. Remote Sensing is the science of acquiring information about the earth surface without being contact with it. This is done by sensing, recording, analyzing and applying the information. GIS is a collection of computer hardware, software and geographic data for capturing, storing, analyzing, and manipulating data for geographical information. Mr. Dipesh C. Rajput discussed various geospatial and hydrogeological techniques to create maps that highlight regions prone were described effectively to recharge groundwater. Applications of various tools like GIS, remote sensing, and hydrological modeling, experts analyse factors were discussed. Well establish project work was discussed for sustainable water management, helping authorities make informed decisions about land use planning, conservation measures, and the protection of critical recharge areas to ensure the long-term availability of groundwater resources. The lecture is intended to provide an outstanding opportunity for researchers, academicians and industrial communities in identification of groundwater potential recharge zones by mapping with systematic approach to delineate areas with high potential for replenishing groundwater. One Day expert lecture was well attended by about @ 200 participants mainly students & faculties from colleges, corporate members, etc. & non corporate members with a feeling of eagerness to learn something new and important for their research work with active participation. At the end of event oath was taken for conservation of water in day to day life.

The whole event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Pavan Panwala, lecturer in Department of Textile Processing Technology, Dr. S. & S. S. Ghandhy College of Engineering and Technology, Surat. Mr. Sandeep Dangi, Hon. Secretary, South Gujarat Local Centre of IEI performed vote of thanks on this occasion.
